Unpaid by management

An independent game studio

Small studio.
Strange birds

We’re Unpaid Pigeons. We turn odd little ideas into playful games on Roblox.

Meet the studio

Human ideas. Questionable supervision.

Two pigeons. One keyboard. Several concerns.

A strange idea.
Then a playable one

We’re a small independent studio building original Roblox experiences. We like simple ideas that do something unexpected.

A curious mechanic. A little story. A detail you only notice when you come back. That’s the kind of thing we want to make.

a.

People first

Make something someone enjoys playing. Start there. Keep checking.

b.

Odd on purpose

Follow the interesting idea, even when it sounds a little ridiculous out loud.

c.

Room to get better

Build a small version, see what works, and give the good parts another pass.

The birds have been briefed.
They forgot.

Small loops.
Better games

We’re building the studio around short experiments, hands-on playtesting, and learning from what people actually do.

Management note

have been a coo

  1. 01

    Find the odd idea

Start with a mechanic, a situation, or a very persistent “what if”.

  2. 02

    Make it playable

Build the smallest version that lets us find out how it feels.

  3. 03

    Watch someone play

Find the confusing bits, the surprising bits, and the bits worth keeping.

  4. 04

    Keep the good bits

Refine the controls, the timing, the story. Then play it again.

Human taste. Helpful tools.

We build in Roblox Studio with Luau. Our next step is a Claude-assisted development workflow: exploring mechanics, working through code, and turning playtest notes into the next iteration.

Design direction, player experience, testing, and release decisions stay with the people making the game.

An early-stage studio. A workflow we’re developing.

A note from management

Good games.
Questionable birds

That’s the operation.

This is the home of Unpaid Pigeons, an independent studio developing Roblox games. The pigeons are our fictional management.
